WORKSHOPS
FOR DANCE PROFESSIONALS & VOCATIONAL STUDENTS
The workshop is taught by Maresa von Stockert and one company
member or two experienced dancers of the company and lasts 2 hours.
The workshop will start with a warm-up contemporary dance class.
Influenced by elements of both Limon and Release technique, the
class will emphasise dynamic variety, spatial awareness and the
use of weight and momentum.
The second part of the workshop will focus on the imaginative
use of objects in a dance context. Known for their unique work
with props, Tilted Productions dancers will give an insight into
the company’s approach to creating a dialogue between human
body and object. Through specific tasks and discussions the aim
is to encourage participants to develop their own creative potential.
Led by highly experienced dancers, participants can expect to:
-
Increase their knowledge of body awareness,
contemporary dance and performance skills
-
Discover various possibilities of working
with props within a dance context
-
Get an insight into the creative process
and the company’s working methods
Note:
The dancers will provide small objects for the participants to work
with.
This workshop needs to take place in a dance studio.
The dancers need access to the studio at least 30 minutes before
start of the workshop to warm-up.
Maximum participant number is 20.
Longer sessions (half day or whole day) are possible – fee
